The Working Acre is a small farm with a simple goal: grow beautiful flowers and real food for our community while staying true to the rhythms of the nature. Tucked away in rural Maine, we work with the seasons cultivating cut flowers, vegetables, herbs, and specialty crops without shortcuts or chemicals.
Each acre is a patchwork of hard work, observation, and slow growth. I believe that healthy farms grow more than crops they grow connection. To the soil, to each other, and to the place we call home. My dream of a farm never included tractors or monoculture. I measure my success in the abundance of native species I share my space with. They are an intergal part of my pest management system and the key to success for any natural farm.
Whether you're sourcing blooms for a wedding, greens for your table, or simply curious about what’s blooming we welcome you to the Working Acre. Come walk the rows, smell the flowers, and see what’s possible on a three acre fam.
Our products will change season by season and year by year. Please reach out for this years planting/pricing list if you are interested.
